Personalised Hotel Recommendations
My friends - Amit Gupta and Madhumathi K - and I, attempted the Expedia Hotel Recommendations challenge as part of the project for the Machine Learning course. Details about the competetion can be found here.
The popular solution that was all over the forums was the method of counting the number of times a particular combination of attributes occured in the dataset. We arrived the exact same approach after experimenting with Bayesian Networks.
I’m planning to write a blog post explaining our approach in detail. It’s coming soon!
